Tutored Tasting with Mead and Cheese Experts
Tuition: $30 + Mead: $20 + Food:$10 = $60
The popularity of mead has grown by 130% since 2012, and as demand rises, new meaderies and mead styles are surfacing to please every kind of drinker. Styles range from bone dry and sparkling to sweet and syrupy, each having unique food pairing capabilities. We will take advantage of the naturally balanced acidity of mead to compliment a wide range of aromas, flavors, fat and protein contents, regional character, and typicity of cheeses.
Join Nectar Creek’s founder and mead maker Phillip Lorenz, and Bee Thinking’s own Gabe Quitslund, former cheesemonger/cheese maker for an interactive and guided tasting of various meads paired with cheeses, raw honey comb, and other complementary bites. Each participant will be given 5 distinct pairings with a welcome plate, and some take home goodies.
